HERE'S A MESSAGE FROM THE CURATOR:

The night will consist of an artist and photography showcase which begins at 8pm. Followed by a fashion show at 10pm, featuring local emerging fashion and accessory designers. DJ Tessa Young will be spinning throughout the evening to create that party vibe, with CRAVEDOTCOM (the wife of Ricky Bell from Bel Biv Devoe) topping the night off with a live performance at midnight. There will also be vendors selling their products and creations throughout the evening in allotted areas of the loft.

Hurricane Ida:
The Associated Press reports that more than 14000 Salvadoran have been affected by the floods and mudslides. Salvadoran authorities say at least 192 people were killed by floods and landslides that swept through the country.

Direct quote from the Latin American Herald Tribune:

"Emergency management chief Jorge Melendez said the rains caused 176 mudslides and 13 large floods and that there were 176 areas where rivers jumped their banks, causing damage to 1,779 homes and destroying 220 others.Two-dozen bridges have been damaged, while the town of San Vicente, 48 kilometers (30 miles) east of San Salvador, was buried in mud and stones from the slopes of the Chinchontepec volcano."

"Tsk, Tsk!" is dedicated to displaying

community injustices and wrongdoing.

TODAY, we highlight CITIBANK.

Last week protesters rallied around Citibank, located on

South Lake and Del Mar for an all-day protest.

Their message unclear but from reading their signs and

hearing the chants, this group was angry and determined to be seen and heard.

Coincidentally, my job was near the protestors,so on my break,

I decided to go and get the 411.

According to a gentleman who will remain anonymous,

there has been a lawsuit placed on Citibank on 6 different counts.

One of them including: Invasion of privacy, Improper disclosure.

I was appauld after hearing about the incident and could understand

why their were so many angry protesters on the corner of Lake and Del Mar.

1st Los Angeles Renegade Craft Fair

The day started young with us FASHION HEADS heading to an event

in Downtown Los Angeles entitled, SWAP-O-RAMA.
We get to our destination to find vendors from all walks of life and with

a wide range of talents and expertise. We got to talking to some of the vendors

at the event and were allowed to showcase some of their work on our blog!!!

Thursday, July 16 2009.
The event was thrown by Music Junkies and was held
@ Senor Fish in Little Tokyo.
The models looked fierce, the place was packed for the fashion show,
and as always, The Popular Loser's performance was fresh to death with their new summer
singles "Angels and Models" and "I Used 2"

Make sure to keep your eyes and your ears
