July 23rd 2010 goes down in Los Angeles [our]story!
Aside from a guesstimated 4,000 online ticket sales selling out the Hollywood Palladium in a matter of seconds, progressive musical talents: Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band
and Rage Against the Machine, shared the smedium venue's stage to join under Awareness and Justice
ever since Arizona decided to start a race war raucous by introducing SB 1070. Which, in this writers' eyes, is the law that gives police the authority to stop all people of color to check for citizenship. In their efforts to secure U.S borders, hate crimes ranging in severity have occurred since the new bill has been considered.

The Sound Strike is new to this writer/activist but it is undeniable how hard and dedicated the organizers, members and supporters of The Sound Strike are to the movement towards Awareness and Justice to all people, in this case, the Latino and people of color being affected by Arizona's ignorance.

The benefit concert raised over three hundred thousand dollars in ticket sales alone! All of which will be donated to families, organizations, activists and clubs, such as PUENTE Arizona who have been affected by SB 1070.

Round of applause to you, THE SOUND STRIKE

UpNtheNuves tried contacting The Sound Strike for an interview but are still waiting for a reply.
