I'll be sharing my designs this February in Portland, Oregon. I am looking forward for the show and am so excited to share my experience.

This is what I do...

Da Bidnez Fashion Art Collective is a group of young talented artists from the Los Angeles area that has come together to comprise a group dedicated in inspiring to aspire through the arts. Da Bidnez (D.B.) started in 2009, and as co-founder & director of the collective, I have guided the group towards producing fashion art music events. D.B. currently co-produces & co-hosts "[ blank ] Tuesday, a weekly Tuesday at The Airliner in Lincoln Heights - Los Angeles.

 Every Tuesday I have the pleasure of showcasing & witnessing amazing talent. I abasolutely LOVE what I do, I LOVE the people I work with, & LOVE having the time to live it all. If you are in the Los Angeles area on a Tuesday night, make sure to stop at The Airliner for a grand time!

Wellness Routine

this is basically what I see (lol don't mind me I like to humor myself)

I've recently taken the bull by the horns and made it my duty to take care of myself first and foremost before I can love or care for another (outside of family & friends).

I'm talking about LOVE... self-love!

That being said, when I look in the mirror, I'm not content with how I've cared for myself thus far.

So, I've since joined a gym, am paying close attention to what I eat (when & what), exercising my body & mind through various exercises. I'm currently single. Meaning I had to step away from my beloved bf to make room for a new and improved me. It's me time. I got this. Always have had what it takes to be the best me there can be! I'm ready.

Sometimes I model.....

A poem for today

this could have been a poem for tomorrow

or even a poem about yesterday, 

instead I write about right now & how 

it's affecting me this way.

rather than seeking out for answers or 

dealing with this another day,

I look inside me for the power

to continue smiling the rest of the day.

right now, you might not feel it,

its something that gets pushed aside,

but just remember you can't hide from your feelings

or else they'll take you for a ride.

so, be merry and live for right now, 

turn that frown upside down

and shine like the star that you are

give yourself a hug, yeah a hug,

bet you've never thought to do just that

but that my friends is called, self-love.

I'm coming for you, PORTLAND * OREGON

I'll be taking the train from Los Angeles to Portland. This is going to be an amazing year, where I can connect with myself & my craft. Thank you Universe, may I have some more please.

First poem of the year - 2012

& this is how I'm feeling
& this is how it's been lived.

I've bottled up so much energy that it's beaming from within

It's pushing out all the hatred, karate chopping  my fears, it's holding on
like George of the Jungle, swinging past my tears.

And all it comes from me, holding back, giving it stamp of approval
when it never needed that, letting people live through me and to me
for reasons that have fooled me, sitting back & relaxing while I listen to tunes of a
once upon a time, when it had and is always in me, to be the best me, to live like the trees,
tall and strong, with roots so deep into this earth, it would take mother nature to make me fall.
To live like the leaves, flowing back & forth, attached to a tree, holding on to it's roots with no remorse. Swayed by the wind that takes the leaves places it ain't never been before, only to find it's place back on the ground as it hits the floor. Shared into pieces, shared to the world, leaving remains for the wind so it can take it back again, moving here there and more.
